Graceling series

I am in love with this series. I think it's the whole "people living in the old days" that's fascinating. There are supposed to be at least 3 books in the series, but the author has only finished the first two "Graceling" and "Fire".

We'll get a move on with "Graceling". This book is about a girl named Katsa. She lives in a ficticious region of the world. If you get the book and look at the inside front cover, you'll see what it looks like. It's divided into several nations. Katsa works for her uncle because she is a Graceling. We're talking her ability to kill any man who comes against her. She is hired to go and do his dirty work, but when she meets Prince Po, her whole world changes. She no longer wants to work for her uncle. Instead, she decides to help Po to save some of his family members in Monsea. There is something up with the King there and how he really became King. On this journey, Katsa discovers what her true Grace is, as well as love. This book is great from beginning to end.

"Fire" takes place 30 years before the world of "Graceling". Fire lives in the Dells, which, according to the introduction of the book, is very close to the nation of Monsea. Do you see the connection to "Graceling" yet? Two stories take place here. There is the one about Fire and what she is willing to do to help Brigan(dell) and his family. She is asked to help win a war because of her ability to control minds. It is not a Grace. Rather she is a monster with unresistably good looks. She is also hated because everyone knows about her father's reputation. Not only is Fire helping this royal family, but they are helping her, by protecting her in their many forts. The other story is about Leck. He is the future King of Monsea, but nobody knows it yet. He was born with a Grace. His story goes along with the mysteries mentioned in "Graceling" such as how he is missing an eye and how he got between the two worlds. Fire and Leck meet, though Leck is still a little boy. They have similar powers which cannot have an effect on the other. Leck is still the bad guy here and Fire must come against him in the end. This book is filled with secrets which will cause the reader to keep on reading. It is an excellent plot and I personally love Brigan. Nash is okay.

"Bitterblue" takes place a few years after "Graceling" when Bitterblue is queen of Monsea. She has been training and becoming a better ruler all these years thanks to the help from her uncle, Po's father. The entire plot has not been revealed yet because the book hasn't come out. It will be out in April. Pretty much all of the characters that were in "Graceling" will show up again. We'll get to see what's happening with Katsa and Po and I guess other characters. I can't wait for this book!!!!!!!!!
